Martins Bank 1928+

Sep 1.jpg

Bangor 2

The North Wales coast Branches of Martins Bank are under the control of Liverpool District Office. Bangor, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and Prestatyn offer relaxed family holidays with sandy beaches, and of course each of them also has a Branch of Martins Bank for your convenience!

In Service: 1940 until 17 April 1970

Rhyl branch was opened first of all in temporary premises at 7 Bodfor Street on 5 January 1939, and moves to 52 High Street in 1940. Sadly we do not yet have any external photographs of the Branch at Rhyl, but the lovely atmospheric interior image above, does at least show the banking hall in all its minimalist glory.
