Between
Otley and Ilkley, we find Burley in Wharfedale, one of four sub branches to
Otley that have been in service over the years. This Martins Bank sub-Branch
is open for a couple of hours on fours days of the week which indicates a
moderately busy trade. Burley in
Wharfedale comes to Martins Bank through the 1906 amalgamation of the Craven
Bank with the Bank of Liverpool. Not wanted, when Barclays merges with
Martins, this office is closed down in the Summer of 1968. |
